Boeing 737-800 and BBJ2 for X-Plane 950+

x737 version 4.1 for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux

This is the brand new version 4 Boeing 737 by the x737project, released on May 22nd 2010. This release brings your experience with a 737NG simulation to a new level of realism. An all-new exterior level, along with an unparalleled plugin-based 737NG simulation of important aircraft systems - especially the AFDS (automatic flight director system) and a number of available add-ons, flight planning tools and finally more than 100 liveries from all over the world are waiting for your input. Never before we have made a release of this weight, you can fill you harddisk with 0.7GB of x737 stuff! Again, this a good x737project tradition, the x737project team is providing the whole stuff for free.

New features

  • An all-new, ultra detailed exterior model of all components
  • 3D doors, cargo doors, vanes, pitot tubes, sensors, static ports, antennas, drain masts, APU inlet and exhaust etc.
  • Lots of animated parts:
    • Moving wipers
    • opening doors (currently both forward doors)
    • fully animated 3D nose and main gear with realistic kinematic
    • animated retractable landing lights
    • new lights simulation even modulates light colors when laning lights are illuminated or extinguished
    • optional noise reduction vortilons below the fwd windows (can be enabled or disabled per-livery with a simple line in the configuration file)
    • animated AOA sensor moves with the wind
    • spoilers, flight controls, thrust reversers
    • randomly moving shades on all cabin windows
  • a cabin model optimized for looking into the aircraft from the exterior
  • a number of per-livery configurations from a simple text file
  • more than 110 liveries from airlines all over the world

System requirements

The x737project Boeing 737NG aircraft is a highly complex software. Please make sure that your computer is fast enough to draw a million of triangles per frame.

To run x737 v4 you need X-Plane 9.50 or higher (per-livery configurations are not available in X-Plane 9.45) on Mac OS X, Windows or Linux.

What you need

You need the aircraft base pack to make your first experiences with the x737project aircraft. To augment the x737project aircraft with new liveries from airlines all over the world you can download additional livery sets which are available from the livery section of our website. Please read the document QuickStart.pdf included in all downloads for instructions.
